Indian security forces arrest 7 Maoists

Indian security forces have arrested seven Nepali Maoists at Bengusaraya railway station in the Indian state of Bihar, reports said Friday.

According to the state owned English daily-The Rising Nepal-, the Indian police arrested the Maoist insurgents Wednesday after a tip off from the central security forces.

The report quoting Umesh Kumar Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Saharasa headquarters of the Indian Police, said that the rebels had gone to Bengusaraya from Bhimnagar, Madhepura, near the Nepal-India border on a car.

The names of detained and their status in the Maoist party is not yet known, the report said.
