India will construct a road linking Tanakpur dam on the Indo-Nepal border with Mahendranagar at a cost of Rs.475 million, the Indian Embassy said. Nepal and India signed and agreement Monday.

Construction of the road link was part of the Tanakpur accord signed in 1996. The project will be completed within two years.
