Officials of the Royal Chitwan National Park have declared a tiger lurking in Madi Valley area of Chitwan district to be a man-eater, a published report said Sunday.
The tiger claimed eight lives in the area in a month, the Kathmandu Post said. “We will deploy a well-equipped team to track down the tiger on Sunday,” said a warden Shiba Raj Bhatta.
Once caught, the tiger will be handed over to the zoo, he said. “If the zoo and other wild life conservation bodies refuse to receive the tiger, there remains no option than to kill it,” he added.
