Home Ministry calls for cooperation

As Maoist attacks escalate in the capital and the rest of the country, the Home Ministry issued a fresh appeal Monday asking citizens to report suspects, activities and suspicious objects to the nearest security personnel or police post.

The Ministry said security forces have been put on heightened alert. The appeal was seen as a move to assure the people.

Doctors at Bir Hospital have removed two bullets from the back and hand of Bhaktapur Nepali Congress leader Radheshyam Jonchhe who survived an assassination attempt Sunday night by Maoists, the hospital said Monday.
