CPN-UML General Secretary, Madhav Kumar Nepal said on Saturday that the prime minister and the home minister should take moral responsibility for Wednesday’s riots, reports said.

Talking briefly to journalists after observing the damages caused to the mosques by the unruly mob on September 1 Nepal said, “The incident is the result of a severe error on the part of the government.”

Nepal further added that the government should conduct an extensive investigation to see which organ of the state failed in its duty on that day.
