Kabhrepalanchok, Jan. 6 : Minister of State for Women, Children and Social Welfare Kamala Devi Panta, inaugurating the 11th central convention of Nepal Cancer Relief Society, said that the present government is firm on extending all possible cooperation to social service institutions and organisations.

Stating that social and voluntary organisations have a great role in exerting pressure on the democratic government to bring it onto the right path, she expressed concern at the tendency towards selflessness among persons working in social organisations.

Dr. Anjani Kumar Sharma enlightened the audience on the symptoms of Cancer, its Prevention and Challenges.

Mayor of Banepa Municipality Dr. Surendra Bahadur Bade Shrestha said that taking into consideration the sensitiveness of the health sector, the leadership of the society in future should be handed over to efficient, selfless and fearless persons.

Pradeep Man Baidya, Vijaya Karmacharya, Jeet Bahadur Shrestha and a host of other speakers also expressed their views at the function chaired by society president Hari Prasad Paudel.
