Government and gold and silver dealers Monday agreed to deal in metric weights abandoning the use of a traditional measures and weight after a meeting with traders and the Nepal Bureau of Standards and Meteorology, an announcement said.

The agreement came after meeting with 50 dealers of Nepal Gold and Silver Association and government officials Monday. The meeting agreed to use digital weighing balances, an announcement said.
