KATHMANDU: The German government has committed an additional 21.2m euros for the 70MW middle Marsyangdi, Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) said.
The NEA said the German government is committed to the project. This was stated after talks in Frankfurt between German Development Bank, contractor Fichtner JV and NEA to re-start the suspended construction of the power plant.
The meeting in Frankfurt Nov.27 considered different options for re-starting the project for which a final decision will be made by the third week of December, the NEA said.
The contractor has been given until Dec.10 to present a work plan if it wants to continue with the construction.
