Four Maoists killed, five policemen injured

Kathmandu, June 16: At least four Maoists were killed and five policemen were injured in an exchange of gunfire at Barchen village in Dang district Thursday night, a local official said.

Injured policemen were flown to Nepalgunj for medical treatment. The rebels decamped with arms and ammunition from a police outpost overrun at the village. Thirty-five policemen escaped unhurt.
