Four members of the same family were killed after consuming poisonous mushrooms from the forest at Kaule of Pakala Village Development Committee in Pyuthan district, police said.

Those killed were Devraj Raul, 60, and his wife, his daughter-in-law Numa Raul, 24, and his three-year old grandson. After consuming the mushroom brought from the forest one week back, the members

of the Raul family started vomiting and had diarrhea problems.

Raul’s three-year-old grandson and his wife died while undergoing treatment at the local health post. Following the two deaths in the family the local villagers carried the senior Raul and his daughter- in-law to the Pyuthan hospital.

According to the district hospital, the daughter-in-law died at 10:00 am and the senior Raul died at 12:30 pm in their hospital beds.
