Five villages in Mohottari isolated

Five villages in Mohottari are under four feet of flood waters and without electricity and are isolated from the rest of the district after the Ratu river overflowed its banks fololwing incessant rains since Monday, local  officials said.

Mahadevpalli, Bela, Nainahi, Chakawa and Tharupatti are situated south of district headquarters Jaleshwor. Altogether 10,000 families have been affected and 500 bigas of farmland are  under water. nepalnews.com br July 13
