KATHMANDU: A fire that broke out suddenly in a factory in Biratnagar, Morang district damaged property worth over 2.5 million rupees, police said. The factory was producing soap oil needed for making soap.

Fire damaged both machines as well as raw materials, according to police. The factory is located at Rani area of Biratnagar. The cause of fire was not known. It could have started due to a short-circuit. Fire brigades were immediately called to put out the fire.
