Dead body donated to hospital for research

In the first instance of its kind in Nepal, the body of senior advocate Krishna Prasad Pant was handed over to TU Teaching Hospital for research Friday as per his wishes, family members said.

Pant died Thursday. He was suffering from heart, kidney, diabetes and other ailments. Pant was Minister of State for Foreign Affairs for 45 days in the cabinet of Prime Minister Kirtinidhi Bista in 1979.
