The seventh general convention of the CPN-UML will be held in Janakpur from February 1 to 5, the Party said Thursday.

The 32nd central committee meeting of the party took the decision. The Party reviewed the just concluded month long general awareness campaign to protest the October 4 Royal dismissal of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba after King Gyanendra assumed executive powers under Article 127 of constitution following a constitutional breakdown.

The central committee demanded the formation of an interim government under Article 128 of the constitution to hold suspended elections, Office Secretary Ishwor Pokhrel said.
