The 9th central committee meeting of the CPN-ML began in Kathmandu Wednesday to discuss unification with CPN-UML and boarder left unity.

In the meeting, general secretary of the party Bam Dev Gautam briefed the members about the need of the central committee meeting, its agenda and current national and international situation.

The meeting also briefly discussed the resignation of central committee member Devi Prasad Ojha and his accusation on central leadership for creating obstacle for the unity with the CPN-UML. But, no decision was taken today.

Soon after the brief speech of general secretary and chairperson, the meeting was postponed until Thursday because of the all-party meeting called by the Prime Minister.

Party chairperson Sahana Pradhan chaired today’s meeting.
