KATHMANDU: The Patan Appellate Court on Friday ordered the government authorities to provide timely medical treatment to detained Maoist leader Matrika Yadav who is said to have been suffering from serious health problems.
The court gave the orders considering his flagging health conditions when he was presented before a bench for hearing on charges of involving in violent activities.
Yadav and Maoist central leader Suresh Ale Magar, whose whereabouts remained unknown for nearly two years after being handed over to Nepali security agencies by Indian police after their arrest, were presented before the court a couple of months ago.
