Minister of State for Information and Communications Hari Narayan Chaudhari affixed the first cancellation marks on a ‘World Cup Football 2002’  commemorative stamp issued by the Department of Postal Services on the occasion of the 17th World Cup Football Tournament, which began Friday, the RSS reported.

Five hundred copies of the Rs 15-denomination stamp in a four-colour combination designed by department artist K.K. Karmacharya have been published.

On the occasion, Minister of State Chaudhari said that such commemorative stamps help introduce Nepal’s art, culture, lifestyle and diverse heritage to the world.
