There have been reports of fresh clashes between security forces and Maoists in the western district of Arghakhanchi.

According to reports, the Maoist rebels attacked the security forces at Jalukegadh VDC of Arghakhanchi Wednesday morning. The security forces had been deployed to the region from Gorusinge of neighboring Kapilvastu district.

At least six security personnel and 12 Maoists are reported to have been killed in the incident.
