China to invest in Nepal

KATHMANDU: Chinese entrepreneurs will invest in Nepali industry to manufacture goods for export to China. This was agreed during a three-day annual meeting of the 5th Nepal-China Non governmental Co-operation Forum that ended in the capital Saturday, a press release of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI ) said.

China will invest mainly in trade, tourism and agricultural sectors. A joint study group will be formed to identify new areas of investment and co-operation, the announcement said. The next meeting of
the Fourm will be held in China at a venue and date to be decided later.

FNCCI President Rabi Bhakta Shrestha and Executive Vice president of the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce Zhang Xuwa led the respective delegations to the discussions.
