Kathmandu, June 26: Nepal’s 10th census interrupted by a 13 day national mourning following the June 1 carnage at the Narayanhiti Royal Palace ended Tuesday evening.

Latest estimates say the kingdom’s population is 23.4 million. Preliminary results will be available from mid August.

Maoists interrupted data collection is some districts in far west Nepal where they are entrenched.
