The caretakers of the Charumati Baudha Bihar have asked the people and the government to help in restoring and renovating the collapsing monastary in the capital.
The stupa was reportedly built in the third century by Charumati, the daughter of King Askok. Heavy monsoon rains and heavy vehicular traffic have damaged the stupa.
