Kathmandu, Jan. 1 : Nepalese businessmen and industrialists has stressed the need to immediately put an end to current violence and state of uncertainty in the country and give continuity to the activities in the interest of the boost national economy.
They have also decided to organise a peace march in order to maintain mutual goodwill with the collective participation of political parties, intellectuals and the people from various walks of life.
A meeting held at Nepal Chamber of Commerce auditorium here the other day assailed the attempts to vitiate the atmosphere of mutual goodwill in the country through the frequent Nepal bandh calls which at times resulted in vandalism at business and industrial locations.
The meeting also deliberated on the need to guarantee peace and security in order to give continuity to the foreign investment made in the country through the efforts of the professionals of the business and industrial sector.
Representatives of Nepal Chamber of Commerce, various commodity-related organisations concerning, local traders association and the noted industrialists attended the meeting.
President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce Rajesh Kaji Shrestha stressed the need to take steps without delay for maintenance of law and order in the country.
