The visiting water Resources Minister of Bangladesh Hafiz Uddin Ahmed called on Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa at the latter’s residence at Baluwatar on Friday, RSS said.
On the occasion, discussions were held on bilateral interests and mutual cooperation as well as on harnessing of the water resources for the common good of people in the SAARC Region, the agency said.
The Bangladesh Minister lauded the views expressed by the PM on trade, transit, security and interaction among the people of the region, it added.
The visiting minister further said that infrastructure of the dry port at Bangladesh will be ready by April to facilitate the smooth movement of Nepalese cargo in transit to and from Bangladesh, according to the agency.
