Rabikant Aryal has been appointed Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP). The cabinet appointed Aryal Monday after a promotion, a government source said.

Aryal’s promotion coincides with the appointment of Shyam Bhakta Thapa as IGP to succeed Pradip SJB Rana who retired last month after reaching superannuation age.
