Maoist affiliated students’ association All Nepal National Free Students’ Union –Revolutionaries (ANNFSU-R) said in a press release Monday, that they will not participate in the recently declared Tribhuwan University (TU) elections for posts in Free Students’ Unions (FSUs).

TU has declared elections on February 26 in all colleges affiliated to the university.

Supporting the ongoing students’ agitation Lekhnath Neupane, President of the ANNFSU-R has said that the declaration of the elections is a ploy by the government to create disputes among the agitating students.

Neupane has flayed the government for declaring the ANNFSU-R as a terrorist group. “Until and unless the government does not correct its mistake it is almost impossible to conduct students’ elections in the TU,” he said.
