Nepal couldn’t chase 205 runs for victory and was restricted in just 107 runs by UAE in a match played at Sarjaha Cricket Ground in UAE Monday.
Resuming from overnight 63/3, Nepal could only manage 155 runs in the first innings – a deficit of 107 runs. But Nepal returned with an improved bowling performance, bowling UAE for mere 97 runs in second innings.
Nepali team was at 33/2 at the stumps on the second day with Paresh Lohani and Sharad Vesawkar back to pavilion. Earlier, captain Binod Das led from front to end UAE dominance in the match taking four wickets to restrict UAE’s second innings to a meagre total.
With Sanjam Regmi and Paras Khadka taking three wickets each, UAE batsmen were bowled out for 97 runs.
UAE grabbed 30.5 points while Nepal earned just 13.5 points.
