At least 28 persons have died in outbreaks of measles and diarrhoea in villages in Mugu and Rolkpa districts in far west Nepal since Thursday, Home Minister Khum Bahadur Khadka told parliament Tuesday. Twenty-one persons have been killed by floods and landslides triggered by heavy monsoon rains since Thursday in various parts of the kingdom, including 17 persons buried by a landslide in Okhaldunga, Khadka said. Khadka was making a statement of public importance in parliament.
