Kathmandu, April 6: Altogether 22 persons were killed and property worth over Rs 92 million were damaged by fires during this Nepali year 2057 which ends on 13 April, a Home Ministry source said.

The fires that reduced 912 homes to rubble and destroyed 47 sheds affected 961 families. “Compared to the previous year, deaths and destruction to property this year was less,” the official said.
